March 08  You Know You're Hooked on Quilting When...

You know you’re hooked on quilting when:

*your wallet photos are no longer kids and family but quilts and runners

*the first thing you think about a new piece of furniture is which quilt will look good draped over it.

*your vocabulary is filled with odd terms, like fat quarter, in the ditch, walking foot, tessellating, and trapunto

*you can’t look at anything without deconstructing it for a pattern

*you let the pot boil over on the stove because you can’t put down the new magazine that came in the mail today

*you stay up to watch the news cast because the preview showed a quilt in the background of an interviewees office

*your Sunday church time is spent memorizing the stained glass window designs

*when your friends discuss the latest novel the word “mystery” makes you want to sew in the worst way

*”that time of the month” means the next block pattern is ready to be pieced

*you have to roll the lint brush over yourself before you can answer the door
